The CERITE III thermocouple assembly comes preassebled with a replaceable Cerite Thermocouple Assemblies for Molten Aluminum and Zinc. The unitized construction combines a Cerite protection tube with an integral thermocouple element to form a complete thermocouple. Non-Wetting Cerite is cast around a 1/4" NPT steel pipe, which contains an integral 14 gauge ceramic insulated thermocouple element, and the fiberglass-insulated leads. The high alumina content (85%) and a low content of silica (4%) make the Cerite protection tubes very low contamination.

The Cerite III is attached via 45 degree pipe union joint, this is connected to a cold leg then attached to a terminal head with a quick discount for ease of replacement. The union joint allows for "hot leg" or Thermocouple (CERITE III) to be replaced without twisting of the connection wires. The replacement is as simple as opening union joint unscrewing the thermocouple then disconnecting two wire from terminal head)
