Dy-Kast Supply carries the CERITE Thermocouple Assemblies for Molten Aluminum and Zinc. The unitized construction combines a Cerite protection tube with an integral thermocouple element to form a COMPLETE THERMOCOUPLE ASSEMBLY. Non-Wetting Cerite is cast around a 1/4" NPT steel pipe, which contains an integral 14 gauge ceramic insulated thermocouple element, and the fiberglass-insulated leads. The high alumina content (85%) and a low content of silica (4%) make the Cerite protection tubes very low contaminating devices. This combination assembly is a Very COST EFFECTIVE means of measuring molten aluminum process temperatures. Available in various lengths. IN STOCK for immediate delivery.

$The Cerite-III unitized thermocouples are provided with a protection tube and integral thermocouple element with 36" of high temperature (1300 deg F) fiberglass leads, and a 1/2" NPT steel male face bushing for customer's use in mounting as standard. These Cerite-III thermocouples are constructed by casting a phosphate bonded refractory material containing 85% alumina, 4% silica, and other trace elements around a 1/4" NPT steel pipe, containing an integral stainless steel sheathed magnesium oxide (MgO) insulated thermocouple element. The cast refractory material was developed for use in molten non-ferrous metals, specifically molten aluminum and zinc. It has excellent non-wetting properties allowing easy slag removal, and the small diameter provides fast thermal response to process temperature changes. These assemblies also provide good resistance to thermal shock and mechanical breakage. The refractory material is rated at 2800 deg F, however its use as a Cerite-III thermocouple assembly is generally limited to 1500 deg F maximum. Protection tube pre-heating and slow immersion into the process is recommended. Longer Lead lengths and Type J also available. Call for pricing and delivery.$
